DOUGLAS F. HELMICK
Doug’s tenure at Con-Tech Consultants began in 1995 in the CAD department, first as a drafter and then as the department leader. Doug produced project drawings for:
- Harrah’s Las Vegas Mardi Gras Renovation
- Hawaii Convention Center
- Harrah’s Skagit Valley Casino
- Harrah’s and Players Riverport Center Casino and Hotel
Doug has since progressed to a member of Con-Tech’s technical staff, planning telephone and data cabling systems, security and surveillance systems and background music and paging systems.
Doug is highly accomplished in the planning of conduit and cable requirements from the device to the intermediate distribution point and the planning of the riser requirements for interconnections between intermediate distribution points and the main equipment room.
Doug’s background in drawing production makes him uniquely qualified in translating complicated system requirements into clear, concise project documents.
In addition to producing project documents, Doug is actively involved in overseeing the system installation and coordinating field requirements.
Doug’s experience includes:
Harrah’s Cherokee Casino - planned the security and surveillance systems, the background music and paging system and the telephone and data cabling system. Supervised the production of project drawings for competitive bidding by specialty contractors.
Caesars Palace Spa Tower Expansion and Casino Renovation - coordinated on-site construction issues, on a day-to-day basis, for voice and data systems, point of sale system (Micros), and master antenna television. Coordinated requirements of special bathroom televisions. Coordinated telephone and data requirements for tenant improvement areas, including cabling and line counts. Attended weekly construction meetings.
Harrah’s Prairie Band Casino - planned the security and surveillance systems, the background music and paging system and the telephone and data cabling system. Supervised the production of project drawings for competitive bidding by specialty contractors. Coordinated on-site construction issues.
The Paris Project - planned telephone, data, point of sale and slot data cabling systems. Supervised the production of project drawings. Attended weekly construction meetings.
Oracle Corporation Headquarters Campus - planned telephone and data cabling for 200 and 600 Oracle Parkway, the 350 Oracle Parkway Conference Center and the Oracle Westport Office Buildings. Supervised the production of project drawings for competitive bidding of the systems.
Station Casino St. Charles - planned telephone, data, point of sale and slot data cabling requirements for the two new casino barges to be located at Station Casino’s St. Charles property. Supervised the production of project drawings for competitive bidding of the systems.
Memphis Cook Convention Center Expansion - planned telephone and data cabling system and security system serving the new expansion areas. Oversaw the production of project drawings. Coordinated the interconnection of the new devices to the existing systems.
