BONNIE L. HELMICK
Bonnie's career in telecommunications includes 15 years as a senior consultant with Con-Tech Consultants and over 14 years in the Telecommunications/MIS Department of a major East coast financial institution. She has been directly involved with all aspects of planning and implementation of major systems.
Bonnie, now a member of the Board of Directors and the primary stockholder of M.S.H., Inc., has been a principal element of Con-Tech's consulting team since early 1993. In that time she has provided system planning for the following projects:
Oracle Corporation, Redwood Shores, CA - planned the voice and data requirements for the 100 and 200 Oracle Parkway buildings in Oracle's headquarters campus. This included the planning and coordination of a new standard for each work station, including both Category 5 cabling and fiber optic cable, riser requirements, and base building requirements. Prepared system specifications. Evaluated bids.
Oracle Corporation, various locations - planned voice and data requirements for Oracle's field offices. Includes the coordination of space requirements for system equipment, specific installation instructions for the system equipment and the preparation of system specifications for the competitive bidding of the voice and data cabling.
Harrah's Casinos – planned and prepared the specifications and implementation of voice and data cabling for a number of Harrah's projects, including Harrah's North Kansas City, Harrah's Shreveport, Harrah's Ak Chin, Harrah's Skagit Valley, Harrah’s Las Vegas, Harrah’s Rincon, and Harrah's New Orleans among others.
TropWorld Hotel and Casino, Atlantic City, NJ - conducted a detailed review of existing PBX equipment, acquired over time, at this Aztar Corporation property. Determined replacement equipment and additional equipment to support a major hotel expansion and more sophisticated telecommunications needs in the areas of call management, call processing, ACD, voice mail, and call accounting. Prepared specifications for a new PBX and all peripherals, evaluated bids and worked with Owner through detailed design and planning process.
Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, NV – planned the telephone and data cabling and the telephone switch and instruments for the new 29 story Palace Tower expansion and casino renovation. Oversaw the production of project drawings and prepared project specifications for the competitive bidding of the systems by specialty contractors. Provided on-site management of the system installation through the duration of the project.
During Bonnie's tenure in the financial industry, she was a technical consultant and manager overseeing communications services for a user base of 5,000+ in her region. She was responsible for planning, installation and on-going support of PBX's, 3270 network, large call center applications, voice response units, incoming call directors, predictive dialers, LAN/WAN support, backbone T1 network and multiplexers, private line voice network, and the premise distribution system supporting these components.
