OUR APPROACH
PHASE I - CONCEPTUAL PLANNING
Initial meeting(s) with owner, architect, interior designer, space planner, and electrical and mechanical engineers to determine basic systems and performance criteria.
A report with supporting drawings will summarize the findings and provide a conceptual outline of the contemplated plan approach. This report might include anticipated budgets for the installed systems.
PHASE II - BASE BUILDING REQUIREMENTS
This summary, including supporting drawings, provides all information required by the architect, interior designer, electrical and mechanical engineers, etc. as it relates to the specialized needs of the communications systems.
Information provided will include space considerations, electrical loads, HVAC recommendations, and a coordinated layout of all special conduit requirements.
PHASE III - BID/TENDER DOCUMENTS
Preparation of detailed specifications including complete systems drawings and equipment lists for bid invitation from qualified contractors.
Conduct a pre-bid orientation meeting for all prospective contractors. Render bid evaluation based on specifications response and financial analysis.
Assist the owner, if desired, in negotiating contracts with successful bidder.
PHASE IV - SUPERVISION AND ACCEPTANCE
This service is normally provided on an "on-call" basis, as required. It usually includes schedule review, check of "shop" and "as-built" drawings, site inspection, spot-check of workmanship, and complete operational acceptance tests of all systems prior to final payment to contractor. This phase is critical in the overall planning approach, as there are many coordination factors between disciplines to ensure complete and working systems. |
